ID for events, sporting event, conference, music event/concert

ID plans and systems are often viewed as a necessary hassle for the sake of abiding by security standards and organization. While not untrue, there is so much more value that a good ID system can add to your event if done well.

Safe & Secure

Event Security ID Badge

Let's start with the obvious. An event without any form of ID is an open door for the wrong people to end up in the wrong place, whether unintentional or on purpose.

For a truly safe and secure event, you need a solid ID plan. Whether that is as simple as ID cards with barcodes, or as thorough as mobile credentials with all "the works", you need something that works for your event and ensures safety for your people.

Ease of Access

One clear advantage is ease of (approved) access and organization. Sure, you could print out a list of every attendee, every staff member, every volunteer, & every vendor, checking them at the appropriate door as they arrive... But there's a reason it's not done that way. It's a smooth process and win/win for everyone when you can simply show a badge or swipe yourself in.

Branding & Reputation

Consistent branding for event ID and accessories

Another, more subtle benefit is positive branding and reputation. ID badges, passes, lanyards... Anything that has your branding on it (such as your logo), is like a little billboard for your organization. Not only are guests connecting their enjoyment of the event to you, but also, "small" details, such as the quality of materials you use, speak to you as a company. If the credentials look high quality and professional, your business looks high quality and professional.

When you're providing ID for staff, vendors, and/or guests, your plan for ID could include a plethora of items. From physical credentials, like ID badges, oversized credentials, or hangtags, to mobile credentials. From printers (if you plan to print your own credentials) to accessories, such as lanyards, wristbands, badge holders, or badge reels. If you're interested in working with one vendor for everything you need, reach out to us at IRIS today! We would love to create the perfect plan for your event.
