How to: ID for Your Event

If you're in the process of organizing event credentials, badges, accessories, etc., you probably know how much of a headache it can be. Between head counts, names, and deciding what products are best, there's so much to think about. Hopefully this little guide will help you get a solid head start on your planning!
Who needs Event ID?

This is likely a question you already have the answer to, but depending on how you're running things, you might be responsible for multiple groups of people, all with different ID needs. Staff may need large credentials with non-twist lanyards for maximum visibility. Maybe your vendors only need a smaller badge to present when prompted. Your attendees might have the best experience with the ease of mobile credentials. Of course, it all depends on what works best for your event.
How do you know which Event ID products you need?
Considering how many options are available, deciding what products you need to purchase can certainly become the most complicated part of this process. There are a few decisions to be made here, including:

If you decide to go all in on the Mobile Credential route, you don't even need to look at the following points! Mobile Credentials remove any need for printing, attachments, holders, or any other physical ID aspects.
Another option is to do a hybrid version, using Mobile Credentials alongside physical credentials, in whatever combination works best for you.
If you don't plan to use Mobile Credentials, here are some additional questions to ask:
Do you want to print credentials in-house or outsource the printing?
If you choose to print in-house, you'll need a printer. There are two SwiftColor printers that we recommend: the CX-G6400, which prints quickly in extremely high quality, and the SCC-3000, which is also a fantastic printer but a more economical version.
If you decide on outsourcing your printing, you can certainly still get your design on your products. What kind of credentials do you want?
